Mica band heaters play an important role in numerous industrial processes. They are ring-shaped heating devices that
clamp themselves to a cylindrical element. Then, they produce heat using conduction. The vast majority of band heaters
clamp around the outside of a cylinder.Mica is the most important component of this heater. It is responsible for helping the heater to relay the heat to
different areas in the room. One of mica's properties includes producing electromagnetic waves when this stone-type
material is heated. These waves, in turn, heat up the entire room.Temperatures: Mica heaters have a temperature range up to 600°C (1112°F). Ceramic heaters operate in temperatures up to
about 760°C (1400°F), giving ceramic heaters a slight advantage over mica in industrial applications. Customizability:
Mica heaters are much more customizable than ceramic heaters.
